one of the many cool headstones in the many graveyards. we actually spent a lot of time in graveyards, lol

melrose abbey, founded in 1136 and where legend says the heart of robert the bruce is buried
dryburgh abbey, founded in 1150. sir walter scott is buried here

we're knights of the round table.....i blow my nose at you....silly english pig dog! yep, it's doune castle, and yes you're eyes are correct it is the castle were monty python filmed the holy grail

sterling castle, steeped in history. mary queen of scots was crowned here in 1543 but the castle dates from 1110

the fringe is done for another year

we wrapped up the fringe this weekend by seeing "teaching shakespeare" saturday evening ... got a little intellectual at times, but quite amusing... the solo performer was a bit of a freak and had a very expressive face (as you can see by the picture)....
we also saw "triple platinum" sunday afternoon... this was written and performed by one of the guys that lives upstairs from us (he's the one in the middle of the picture playing the accordion www.guysindisguise.com).... we got a good laugh from it and it was quite entertaining!
oh how we look forward to fringing next year!
